Linen is crafted from the natural fibers of the flax plant. This durable plant requires minimal water and pesticides during production, making linen a sustainable and eco-friendly fabric.

Many women will agree that linen fabrics feel wonderfully airy to wear. Plant-based materials with natural fibers are known for their cooling properties and excellent moisture-absorbing capabilities. It’s no wonder that linen plays a prominent role in nearly every summer collection.

But if you ask us? We’d say that linen garments boast a unique, natural texture that’s unlike any other fabric. Additionally, linen is a durable material with long fibers and high abrasion resistance, ensuring that the fit of a garment remains intact - a feature that’s just as important.

Colored linen may bleed during the first wash, so it’s best to wash it separately the first few times - whether by hand or in the washing machine - and add 1dl of natural vinegar to help preserve the color. Linen can be washed at low temperatures up to a maximum of 40°C in the machine using a mild detergent without optical brighteners or bleach. Additionally, opt for a short wash and spin cycle to minimize wear. Avoid high temperatures to prevent shrinking.

You can also soften linen fibers by washing with fabric softener or vinegar. We recommend air-drying linen garments in a shaded area to prevent shrinkage and discoloration. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve the fabric’s quality.

Got stains on your linen item? Light-colored linen is especially prone to stains but, thankfully, they’re easy to remove if you act quickly. Apply a small amount of detergent or baking soda to the stain and let it sit for a few moments. Rinse with cold or lukewarm water, then wash as usual in the machine.

Some believe the wrinkles in linen enhance its authentic charm, while others see them as a drawback. To keep linen wrinkle-free after washing, we recommend ironing the garment while it’s still slightly damp - without steam - and ironing the fabric inside out. If you prefer to use a steam iron, set it to a low temperature for the best results.

Another way to remove wrinkles from linen without using an iron is by using a "crease release" spray. This can even be applied while wearing the garment to smooth out light creases in items like shirts or linen pants.
