We get it, because we have to admit that the fashion industry doesn't make it easy for you with (often) more than 4 collections per year. The idea emerged that you need different types of items for each season: think bleach blue jeans and flowing blouses for summer versus dark washed jeans and chunky knits for winter. In our opinion, it's an outdated notion. Whether your look matches the season and temperature is actually more about the combinations you create than the item itself. You might be thinking: aren't some items too warm or cold to wear throughout the year? But there are solutions for that too! Or rather, one solution: opt for materials that regulate your body temperature. Natural fabrics are key here, with wool (especially cashmere and merino) being the best temperature regulator – after all, it's literally the function of the fur as nature intended. But materials like cotton, silk, bamboo, and even polyamide also ensure that you'll never be too hot or too cold. And if you also choose lightweight knits and fabrics that aren't too dense in structure – giving you the flexibility to layer – your wardrobe becomes more versatile than ever.

Once you have built a strong foundation wardrobe with key pieces that suit your personal style and figure, and have chosen temperature-regulating fabrics, you're well on your way. Now, the trick lies in creating (or omitting) layers. Your favorite summer dress can easily serve as the foundation for a winter look when paired with a chunky knit sweater and boots.
