The classic preppy style for women refers to tailored pieces such as blazers and pants paired with preppy finely knit sweaters, shirts, vests, turtlenecks, and shoes like brogues and loafers. Often combined with the aforementioned pants or chinos, a short skirt, such as a pleated skirt, is also ideal for completing this outfit.
