How to let sand tones work for you
From cream and warm brown sand shades to greige and taupe, they are the foundation of any wardrobe and can be softening and/or refreshing to any look. Provided you know what your color type is and are willing to learn how to combine these sand shades.

Spring type
The spring type’s color palette refers to bright, light colors with a warm undertone. Sand colors with a golden undertone are your way to go with this type. These shades go well with your skin and can be worn close to the face. They make your freckles, golden blonde or light reddish hair and green eyes stand out even more. A tonal look with different shades of sand is perfect for you. Here, combine different fabrics to create a modern contrast with textures.
Other colors you should have in your wardrobe are apricot, taupe, golden brown, camel, warm yellows, greens like olive and sea green and reds like orange-red and coral.
Bright whites and colors with cool undertones are something you prefer to skip as a spring type.

Summer type
Unlike the spring type, the summer type is actually a cool type where muted, light color tones with cool undertones can work wonders for your look. Neutrals like off-white and shades of brown like taupe go perfectly with the ash-blonde hair color of the summer type's skin.
Although off-white and taupe are a nice addition to the summer type's wardrobe, don’t wear these shades too close to the face. Bottoms in these light colors are therefore an absolute go, while scarves or turtlenecks should be ignored. For a layered look, you can brighten up the light appearance with another striking color from the summer type's color palette. These include: pastel shades like mint green and pink, lighter dusty and medium saturated shades of purple and shades of blue with or without a grey undertone. Blue and purple shades in particular make your eyes pop.
Beige and gold can make you look pale, which is something we always want to avoid.

Shades of red like brick, terracotta, warm orange, dark green hues – like olive green and army green -, browns with a red undertone, deep shades of blue and purple and warm yellows like ochre definitely belong in your wardrobe as far as we are concerned.
Greyish sand colors with cool undertones are a mismatch for the fall type.
